CATTLEYA Alliance	Water thoroughly weekly for larger pots, every second day for small pots	Every week with high nitrogen fertilizer at half strength	Check for insects, scale, rots etc. and spray as necessary	Dampen floors regularly to increase humidity. Air circulation around plants is important
DENDROBIUM (Intermediate)	Two to three times a week in the mornings	Weekly with quarter strength low nitrogen, high PK fertilizer		Do not use high nitrogen fertiliser
DENDROBIUM (Phalaenanthe)  (Hardcane)	Two to three times a week in the mornings	Weekly with quarter strength low nitrogen, high PK fertilizer		Water and gertilise regularly to maintain growth of new canes
PAPHIOPEDILUM	Water every two to three days when days are hot. Water in mornings	Every two weeks with high nitrogen fertilizer at half strength		Damp down floors around midday on hot days
PHALAENOPSIS	Two to three times a week in the mornings	Weekly with quarter strength low nitrogen, high PK fertilizer		Damp floors and under bench on hot days. Try to have leaves dry by nightfall
VANDACEOUS	Water daily including root system. Try to avoid Water in crown of plant	Weekly with quarter strength low nitrogen, high PK fertilizer		Vandaceous orchids thrive on heat, humidty and good air circulation
GENERAL COMMENTS	Most orchids are in active growth now, so will benefit from regular watering and fertilizing to optimize new growth. Overcrowding can result in spindly and sickly new growth which can start to rot
